Sad That It's Not Sad
We focus so much on mourning.
We focus so much on mourning.
The life that was, and is no more.
"I'm sorry for your loss" ...and we assume grief and sadness.
Even though the phrase itself does little to comfort.
But sometimes it's not sad.
It's a relief.
Unburdening the anger, resentment, and memories.
A scenario played out so many times has finally arrived.
And so it's a sigh.
Not a discussion.
Not a reflection.
It's not about the deceased.
It's about the living.
What they need, to protect their peace.
But is it sad that it's not sad?
That it's just another day?
And we all move on...
